The Sweetest Cookie

The Sweetest Cookie

Happy Birthday Cookie, today you’re turning four;
We’re addicted to your sweetness, we could not love you more!
Fate guided us to rescue you, when you were eight months old;
The moment that we saw you, we said “This puppy’s sold!
.
You rekindled all the passion, within our saddened hearts;
Broken when your two brothers, years before had to part!
But now we have our little girl, who brightens every day;
You brought back smiles to our faces, the day you came our way!
.
So today we’ll have a party, with two of your best friends;
Our neighbors, Snickers and Kit Kat, a special time to spend!
You’ll open up your presents, plus doggie ice cream lick;
We’ll all play “chase the bally”, and you’ll do some doggie tricks!
.
.
Our precious Cookie
Turning four years old today
All our love sweetie

Excellent poem. My dog also turned four this year. She's a Chihuahua. This poem was well written and shows how much your dog means to you. I give this poem 5 stars. Well done.

Dear Randy,

Thank you so much for your kind words.  Sounds like you too feel like she's your little girl instead of merely just a dog.

All my best,
Larry xxx
