THE TALES OF THE LAKE

THE TALES OF THE LAKE

LEGEND  HAS IT MANY MOONS
AGO LAKE BLED WAS LUSH
PASTURE AND THE FAIRIES
LOVED TO PLAY AND DANCE
AND SING WHEN THE MOON WAS FULL
FROLICKING ALONG ON THE LAND AND SHEPHERDS
LET THERE SHEEP EAT THE GRASS
AND DESTROY THERE HOME  THE FAIRIES
GOT MAD AND PUT CURSE ALL OVER THE LAND
THEY FLOODED THE VALLEY  AND LEFT ONLY
BLED ISLAND AND KNOW AS BLED LAKE TODAY

THE TALES OF THE LAKE

THE CHURCH HAS BELL AND TRAGIC
HAPPEN  ONE DAY  OF WOMAN
WHO LOST HER HUSBAND WAS
KILLED BY THIEVES SHE THEN SAVED
HER MONEY TO BUY A BELL IN HIS
MEMORY  AND SHE BOUGHT THE BELL
BRINGS TO THE TO THE LAKE  PUTS
IN THE BOAT AND TRAGIC HAPPEN
A STORM CAME UP WITH LOT RAIN
AND WIND AND THE BOAT AND BELL
AND EVERY ON THE BOAT DROWNED
TO BOTTOM OF THE LAKE SO POPE
HEARS OF THE STORY HE BLESSED A
NEW BELL AND SENT TO THE CHURCH
AND LEGEND HAS IT ON A QUIET NIGHT
WHEN THE MOON IS FULL YOU CAN HEAR THE BELL
RINGING  FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE LAKE
THE TALES OF THE LAKE
