The Tapestry Of Us

For my eternal Valentine, my precious Soulmate Linda
Photograph taken yesterday, at the famous Winds Café, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, home of the famous Antioch College.
 
It took a quarter of a century, to this work of art complete;
Along the way were tribulations, but our love would them defeat!
With the loss of our two Soulmates, our hearts joined in newfound trust;
Now we’ve added the final stitches, to “The Tapestry Of Us”!

Its beauty is remarkable, woven with threads within our Souls;
A Genesis of devotion, it depicts our life, as it unfolds!
Beginning with a starlit evening, one shining brighter than the rest;
That guided us to one another, by the Angel’s own behest!

The first moment when we locked eyes, that spark within our hearts;
That something deep inside us, that knew we’d never part!
Our first kiss underneath the moonlight, a harbinger of millions more;
Four days later, our sacred pledges, to love for “evermore”!

Twenty-five years later, that love was put to test;
When the second of our dear Angels, we had to lay to rest!
But his loss has brought us closeness, more than ever have we known;
The Tapestry now completed, for generations e’er be shown!
