THE TEARS OF GOODBYE

I despise goodbyes 
They always make me cry 
Especially when I am leaving 
The one i love 

My heart becomes overcast 
Like rain clouds above 

Immediately I can feel the pain
Such an emotional strain
As I take that last embrace 

Having to remember 
That look of separation 
On my lovers face

The pulling away of hands 
Only to wave goodbye 
How it kills me inside 
I just wanna die 

So I'm looking forward 
To the day
When our goodbyes would go away 

And forever we will remain
In each other's arms
Never having to say goodbye again.
