The Tears Of Yesterday

Inspired by Cherie Sumner’s beautiful poem “Slipped Away”
.
We held each other in the morning, he was gone by early night;
He slipped right through my fingers, before dawn became the light!
I was his very best friend, and he also was mine;
Ever since we were just youngsters, our lives had intertwined!
.
There were others who would mock him, his heart they’d easily break;
He’d come to me for some solace, in my arms him then I’d take!
He knew how much I loved him, and always would be there;
To hold him and protect him, when his soul would have some tear!
.
But last week his darkest struggles, were as bad as they could be;
As hopelessness then crept in, and stole him way from me!
But someday we’ll be together, in the Heavens high above;
Sharing precious friendship, and our everlasting love!
.
         My tears will e’er fall
       Till we’re together again
         In God’s Firmament

Keep up the great work !
Take care.
My Dear Friend Richard,
This poem did strike very close to the heart, for I could feel Cherie's pain in her work that inspired it. I thank  you for your lovely words.  They mean a lot to me.
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
Thanks for displaying such feeling derived from the song you sent to Cherie.
Everything is made clear at the moment of death when truth reigns and all is settled.
Pain and torment need no longer affect the soul as a new beginning comes into view, if an honest life of caring and sharing has been chosen !
Peace and love !
Â
Brian is resting now from all the struggles we went through....He must be smiling now from Heaven. He and Cherie will reunite one day....It's very comforting to know that when we lose our loved one, we'd meet again one day....Heart felt piece Daddio....I love the picture too
Love youÂ

My Dear Sweet Rose,
A heart felt piece for a beautiful lady, a lovely poetic soulmate whose heart is now broken. Â I am sure she finds some solace, knowing that one day she will be reunited with Brian. Â Another beautiful lady has sent me heart felt words of love, which bring tears to my eyes.
Love you too,
Daddio xxx

My Dear Lorna,
Her tears fell upon my own cheeks, as I felt her tremendous pain. Â Almost in rote, my hand picked up a pen, attempting to assuage it. Â Thank you for your lovely words.
Hugs, Peace and Love,

Larry, my dear friend...
Simply put, this is beautiful; the poem itself, the heartrending emotions it conveys and the kind, compassionate and loving impetus which moved you to write it in the first place.
There are so many reasons that I am, and shall ever remain...
your friend & fan,
J ;)
My Dear Friend Jason,
I rarely do this, but I am going to copy the same words I just wrote Lorna, for you both have moved me to tears.
"Her tears fell upon my own cheeks, as I felt her tremendous pain. Â Almost in rote, my hand picked up a pen, attempting to assuage it. Â Thank you for your lovely words."
I too, shall ever remain your friend and most ardent fan,
Larry xxx
Very beautiful
