The Tiger And The Mouse

Once upon a time ago, there lived a tiger and a mouse;
Both of them were of the age, to seek a loving spouse!
The tiger was a large and handsome brute, the mouse a lovely girl;
The first time that he laid eyes on her, his tail began to swirl!
But he did not see that her tail, was spinning wildly too;
And she was thinking, “Hey you big boy tiger, I’d like to get my paws on you”!
She winked her eyes and asked of him, if he’d like to come for dinner on that night;
“We’re having cheese soup, and a cheese fondue, and they both are out of sight”!
He said yes so very quickly, and showed up in his smashing Sunday suit;
She put on a sexy low cut white dress, which made his heart begin to hoot!
After dinner they sat outside a while, and they sneaked a kiss or two;
Some three weeks later he popped the question, saying, “I’m so in love with you”!
The rest now all is history, they got married the month of June;
And forever they were dear soulmates, with hearts so true attuned!
Their union became an urban legend, told throughout all of the lands;
The little mouse and her big tiger, “together always” shall they stand!

You`ve described our story beautifully of how we met! How did you know that? I`m glad you both liked my drawing for Linda`s birthday.
When I first saw Geoff in a local pub ( he came and sat in front of me!! ) I smiled then asked him for a date and he said yes please. When I was at work ( I am a beautician! ) he rang me and played Stevie Wonder`s song I Just Called To Say I Love You and then when it finished he said take care because I love you too. We met on the 4th of September 1984 and he told me he loved me on the 25th. Then the day before New Years Eve, he took me to a castle restaurant hotel. When we sat down at the table the owner who is a Lord came over and handed me a huge bunch of gorgeous white Lilly`s then Geoff got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and I instantly said yes please! I was so shocked that I had to go to the rest room and wipe my tears and fix my make-up again. We got married on the 1st of June 1985. 31 years later with 4 boys and 3 girls and now 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild due in two months I am so lucky.

Hi Dear G,
Just so glad that you loved this because it was supposed to be somewhat of a fairytale illusion to yours and Geoff's wonderful life together. I think in the back of my mind, I remembered that you had told me that you were married on June 1st, the same date of my dearly departed Sisters birth, and four days before our anniversary, June 5th. It is always amazing what a small world this globe turns out to be.

We have a lot in common don`t we! I think we`ve met before in a past life! My kids think I`m crackers for believing in past lives but I find coincidences, metaphysics and astrophysics fascinating and I have written about them on Tony`s blog called ( Metaphysics And The Movies ), you`ll have to have a read of the articles and let me know what you think of the articles that I`ve written for him. He asked me to take over his blog when he was poorly and I wrote every day for him from December to February this year. I think I`ll put them on here in the story section, it will make a change from writing poetry.

Now, you are a poet, a comedian, an artist and an author too. Next thing you'll tell me is that you have walked on water. Ha, Ha! We didn't even realize about Tony's blog. Larry's going on a 5 day business trip tomorrow, but when he gets back we are going to read his blog. What is the website? Also, we both believe in past lives and one can almost feel, that when there is an instant connection such as we three had, that we have known each other in a former life.

Georgina actually sent the illustration to Linda for her birthday, then challenged me to write something about it. Since she had told me she is only 4' 11' and Geoff is 6' 4", I got the idea for this parody. I'm so glad you liked it.
