THE TREE LIES WHERE IT FALLS

Ā
No matter how beautiful your smileĀ
It's shadow remains black,Ā
Like the soul of a manĀ
Lost to the deceit of his lust.
His appetite grows with desireĀ
He hungers for what his mind entertainsĀ
And His wishes are grantedĀ
To the destruction of his soul.
Thinking of life eternalĀ
Is like painting the color of the wind
But the hunger of lust and desireĀ
Recycles in the heart of man.
Who can forbid or forbearĀ
The impulses and gratification of sin,
We sing in its choir, dance to its rhythm,
And drink of its rivers of tainted waters.
We were born slaves to our desires,
And by our desires,
We will all be consumed.
Wilford Barker.

Hi Wilford.
So true. Mother Nature wants her next generation and makes it impossible for most to resist the primal call of the wild.
