The Trojan Horse

The Trojan Horse

I'm camped in your heart, waiting for the start,
of the time when nothing will keep us apart,
remember, I was a gift they said to heal a rift,
I'm so determined that I'm never going to shift,

I see everything on the ground as you go around,
when I feel your soft movement, my heart begins to pound,
is this ploy going to work - just like Helen of Troy,
or will I just be left again like a discarded toy.

There was space inside of me for a great army,
of love, compassion, magic, kindness and mystery,
how would you take it, how would you make it
good enough to soften you and eat you up bit by bit.

It was time, to release every single piece of me,
unstoppable, relentless, see you succumb to tenacity.

Hi TERRY!!.....I can tell that you had some fun with this one.....and you did a great job with your rhythm and timing.....but I see that you marked this as PROSE in the genre setting.....but in actuality you've delivered this with a perfect SONNET rhyme scheme......and you've done it beautifully....The subject matter is very cleverly conveyed with some charming phrasing ~
