The Truth

The Truth

None of us is perfect,

Every question with answers we’d like to fill,

Creation from the dust with sharpening wit,

Not simple by amusing our own will.

We all have our flaws inside,

Looking out, beyond the images hold,

That’s what we heard, truth cannot hide,

The facts not so absurd told.

Stories laden with colorful thoughts

Those who hide surprises in sequence,

Leave you with sandy tears in the deserts,

With truth turning cold as black ice.

Some don’t mind being exposed,

They feel deception can be a useful crown,

Take pleasure in measuring from those

Professing transparency that’s not their own.

Now we’ve learned, that truth is a universal law

Slipping between emotions to take control,

Of minds and times, the images draw

Facts to incite, the rush of good we hold.
