The View of Heaven

Breathe in and notice
The texture of the air
The vivid fragrance of life
Listen to the sounds of laughter
Of children playing in the street
The rustle of tree branches
As they sigh in the icy wind
The sparkle of gems on snow
The glittering adornment on trees
How can one tire of such magic?
How does one let it go?
The realm of heaven must be
spectacular
It must glow with unearthly light
The halls of eternity that created
the stars and moon
Containing the Creator and angelic host
Must be a sight to behold
So I guess all the earthly masterworks
The canvas of our mortal lives
Will have to do as a tempting
glimpse
Of heaven's beauty and the holy
fire
The earth in all her sensuous
Treasures
Is just a taste of what's to come
