The Village Idiot ?

I saw the village idiot yesterday
He stuck his toungue out at me then he ran away
I sped after him and I said “That was so rude!!”
He just laughed at me but I knew he had understood
Such a nincompoop, an absolute fool and I appologise if I am sounding cruel

Well on my riverside rambles there he was again making insulting  gestures at me, he is such a pain
I wouldn’t care but he is a total stranger, there is no way I am befriending him, that is not a danger
They say he lives alone in the middle of the street and he gets his kicks from his meet and greet
“ Huh greet” I said “ “He is impolite, one day he will pick on the wrong person and get into fight”

“Oh” my nextdoor neighbour told me “He’s has teeth knocked out and he always has black eyes”
I answered “ Well that doesn’t shock me, this is not a surprise”
Ah well I will simply do my very best to totally turn the other cheek and hopefully he will get so sick of silence I will have won my winning streak
