The Vortex That Is You
For the sake of love I let you in
Fully aware I am going to get hurt
Over and over until you are done
I am left alone my soul rotting in the dirt
For the sake of love I let you influence me
My sane mind and judgement compromised
I should have known better when I saw
You avoid contact with my pleading eyes
Over and over I try to resist you
To heal my heart so filled with sorrow
For the sake of love I let it happen
Same time same place same story tomorrow

I suspect it's both...I read it as being both....some people just get in under your skin sometimes...for better or worse....we can only hope for the best and be prepared for the worst....(don't even now if that makes sense, but hey... :) )

It makes perfect sense - thats exactly where they live; under the skin lol :) and some people may call me a pessimist because i always expect and prepare for the worst... i see it as being positive because that way im never disappointed, see? Pretty crafty eh ;)
Well...there's a difference between being 'prepared' for the worst and 'expecting' the worst isn't there? Preparation and expectation are different...expecting the worst is a little pessimistic, an open heart and open mind can go a long long way in helping to prevent the worst n'est ce pas? :)

Very true actually i never thought of it that way. Its very relevant to some of the obstacles i am facing now, some things i am working through like self-doubt, sometimes i wonder how things be just that much better if only i could abolish negative thinking altogether. Thanks for sharing
