The Waters Runneth Deep

I cometh to thee
Seeking answers unworthy.
For where else
Am I to turn
Yet unto your breast.
A pulsing heart
Beateth unto thy chest.
How else did thus
Come to pass?
By no coincidence
One resides;
For every breath
Be a gift of life.
As the waters runneth deep
Unto thy craggy rock
And speweth from thy mouth
Why doth thou cripple
From every path?
How just one must be
To deliver such doubt.
A punishment—
Nay to the likes of me.
Smothered—
Unable to breathe;
Thy light be soon to fade.
For only good
I offer unto mankind,
And goodness I shall seek.
Yet to no avail,
A sighting nearly lost;
A covering of shame,
A prophecy unclaimed.
Tis only be yours
And n'er to be mine.
