The Whole Situation

She asked for them to up her medication,
but they don't know the whole situation.
All they knew was something was wrong,
without question they agreed and went along.
She wanted help to control her anxiety and her PTSD,
but that meant taking anti-depressants for her to feel free.
The medication is making her thoughts unbridled,
every day she becomes more and more suicidal.
She was drugged, beaten, and raped,
she doesn't even remember how she escaped.
She remembers that night although she wishes she couldn't,
She wants to kill herself but we all know she wouldn't.
She feels trapped and is unable to see,
that eventually she will one day be free.
The nightmares haunt her daily and nightly,
she's slowly losing hope ever so slightly.
