The wild mountain goats

The wild mountain goats

The wild mountain goats
clings onto the cliffs
with fleecy thick long shaggy semi-clad coats
Dicing with danger daring the gliffs
Bleating and baaing from within their throats

Sheer steepness and sharpness of stone
yet still the goat climbs high
with robustious rump and solid shinbone
Alas one slip and it shall die

Tumbling
Toppling
Tottering down
In the depths of the ravine
Yet this does not deter the rest
such a scary scene
Why on earth do they risk their lives ?
No predator would go there
So if the goat doesn’t fall it survives
mattered messes of shedded hair
