The Wilted Daffodil

The Wilted Daffodil

The Wilted Daffodil

Lamenting for your demise Oh once beautiful flower
As you lie limply languised on your patch of earth amidst lifeless power

I have no comprehension why you have to die
I shall miss your array of happiness brightening my eye

Perhaps the sheer strength of your beautifulness was sadly all to great
An impossible Herculean task
to counteract your fleeting fate

Whilst your blaze of brightness
feasted perfectly betwixt my vision
I realise your mortality is in the wind
You came & conquered your seasonal mission

Alas delicate daffodil cast your cinders to bequeath
Scattered in the crusty soil
Clandestinely beneath

Godspeed Mother natures Spring speldor tho your loss is not in vain
I shall reminisce your winsomeness
Until our souls reconcile again
