THE WISHING WINDS
Find myself here
I yearn to be there
Blown far off course
By the wishing winds
Back then
I had no care
Lost in the brambles of desire
Clinging to the wanton tree
I fell to sorry river
Now I search
For some sweet air
To breath
Careless with the petals of love
I lost the leaves of hope
I stamped upon
The flower of truth
Now I sink in regrets boat.

Thankyou so very much Cherie...hugs ?
Hello MARION!!..... it's an interesting choice to use the rhyme scheme of a 'Limerick' when delivering such serious subject matter!..... but, you pull it off beautifully......I am so impressed by your poetic intuition... the creativity flowing from your pen has a VERY distinctive style.... and that is a truly difficult thing to accomplish...... you have a gift for wielding words uniquely!!.......ALL STARS!!.... high fives dear poet sister!!.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo ?❤
