Poem -

THE WORLD IN BLACK

Oh dear what can you do
the world is in black and
I am feeling blue they
march a long the roads
and hold there signs
that say the world is unfair
that they don't care

Oh dear what can you do
the world is in black and
I am feeling blue the tears
are in my eyes for the virus
that spreads  like wild flowers
while  the powers of the world
sit on there hands

Oh dear what can you do
the world is in black and
I am feeling blue every day
the sunrises every day the
sunsets and  I say prayer
and light a candle with
tears in my eyes and hope
the world will not be in black
oh dear what can you do

Gregorian,
Fantastic, my friend! I like the repeated lines at the beginning of each verse, it really drives your point home. Great write.
It's certainly a crazy time, and if I wasn't already so, I think I would go insane. Why can't the world throw a virus at us that makes people feel great, and warms their hearts only, and creates a curious feeling of love, and kindness? Wouldn't that be cool? (I think you and Cheerie and Marionette, and Jillian and Being may already have that virus(the love one), but it would be nice if it spread amongst others). lol.
Loved it, my friend.
Matthew.

Thank you very much Matthew it is a very scary time but if you can get out of what’s happening and find things that are fun and and try to get away what your hear and get away from the fear can you can relax and that’s what I do the one thing that really scares me is the stock market that scares me the the most It’s like being in a zone once you come out of that zone into thinking of a better thing to do much better that’s what I do every day

Nobody saw it coming Greg, World Health Organization always expected it but this one really took hold, entrenched itself and so darned quickly.
And the rest is unforgiving history and history, unfortunately, tends to repeat itself.
A fearful well written write Greg and one with no real answers but one that raises plenty more questions.
It is also a good thing to be seen as you put the reader in others shoes, a collective of humanity all in the same boat, riding the storm chorusing their concerns.

Greg hang in there and things change and usually for the better, small steps and all that.
For at least we seem to have the sense today to realise we have to and now take them.
A giant leap would be helpful from time to time.
See and read you in catch up mode this Wednesday night coming.
And respect to you my friend
