Poem -

The Writing Of Her Heart

Her fingers wrap her pen tight

Pen scratching across her paper

Aching for the words to write

As they slip away and escape her.

They dance around in her headĀ

The memories fresh and raw

Haunting her in bed

With the pictures they endlessly draw.

On her heart they cast grey shadows

Clutching it with constant pain

Ruining the green meadows

Creating a messy deep stain.

She scratches her pen again

Trying to tell her story

Begging for her audience to listen

To her tale of misfortune and glory.
