Uneasy On The Eyes

The Minute She 
was born
It was apparent
she would not
be easy on the eyes.....

Not particularly
brilliant
she was often
a victim 
of ridicule

When Birthday
invitations
were given out
her invitation
was always 
conveniently 
lost in the mail

Every dance
and social event
she attended
but was considered
a ghost
by all who were present
as she did not matter

At the end of her junior year
in University
she heard of a student
from high school
who was dying of Kidney failure
and though this student
had always ignored her
she graciously provided one of
her own kidneys 
to save a life
No thank you letter
was provided
Just a satisfaction
of knowing
she was put on this
earth
for a reason....................
