There's a Leak in the Boat

slowly i began to realize

that my love for you

was like going to an aquarium 

and falling in love with a fish. 

for you see, 

fish do not know that you love them

you can go there everyday

and watch them frolic behind thick glass

but they will not remember. 

just because you see this fish everyday

and proclaim it to be yours-

it's not. 

it never will be. 

it's the aquarium's.
