Poem -

there's light at the end

All that glistens is not gold,
I now know this to be true.
That blade shines so bright but don't take ahold,
You will only end up feeling blue.
For if you do, you may never grow old.

No matter what you're feeling,
You won't find the answers by leaving scars.
You think hurting is a way of dealing,
But your just waging a self inflicted war.
But hold on my dear your hearts healing.

Remember the night is always darkest before dawn,
As you sit gazing at the fading stars.
Wondering why you were even born,
Don't you dare add another scar,
Your life can be repaired no matter how torn.

You long to be free like a dove
Unlike the mirror you smashed your heart can be fixed,
Pack all the negative and give it a shove.
When your emotions are mixed,
Don't push everyone away let them show you love.

I see through your mask,
I'm not fooled by that smile,
Who am i and how do I know you ask.
I've known you for awhile,
I'm an angel with one special task.

You and I are one an the same,
I live inside you but you chose to let me roam.
We are both to blame,
We need to be one to return home.
Or we will both go up in flames.

Together we go to heaven,
Separate we spent eternity in hell.
