These Days

These days, there are too
many fakes, cheats and
liars and not enough Truth-
tellers with wit and.
eloquence. Also, there are
too many people
with the attention spans of
mice, rats or gerbils.
These days, there are too
many micro- managers,
mired in meddling ways,
and not enough hard workers.
There is too much speed,
and hysteria. We need
measured responses
and purposeful procedures.
There is too much stress
and not enough quietude
There are too many
unnecessary wars and
not enough peace;
too many selling weapons.
Few are super- rich,
whilst millions are now starving
There are too many
lackeys and not enough smart
operators and
primed, courageous, subversives.
There are too many
big, corrupt corporations
and not enough small,
yet thriving, cooperatives.
Too much is based on
image, rather than reason.
O there is too much
media, and not nearly
enough, real vision!
It's really too much to take.
Where did it all go wrong?
The Elites know, but they are
not telling. In my view,
it's to keep us peasants down
and out, just in case,
one fine day, we all raise hell!
