These enormous black wings...

These enormous black wings let's me fly solo with the beauty that I trust
To whomever I speak to with my feelings, in their eyes the body is crushed
With dripping wet skin like the ink on the page I write these words
Like the wind that I feel and the sun that burns this is a curse
For if my wings were pure then I would have the chance to lure you into my honesty
For if my halo weren't broken then I would wish for change and be outspoken in social Poverty
For if my eyes didn't see the darkness then I would forget about falling and tackle my own anxiety
For if my actions were controlled then I would feel fulfilled in this hell we call Society
These enormous black wings let's me hide away to my special place
To wherever I venture and to the people I see, I'm from darkened days
With an appetite for wrong choices like an eagle to it's prey
For what I can't talk about these words are all I have to say
To let people in is to leave behind my working machine that keeps me alive
The recurring dream is to float above helpless people to soar through the sky
To wake from my battle is to live again and not just live to survive
I want to create a message to myself that I can leave all the bad behind
These enormous black wings let's me fly solo with the beauty that I trust
To whomever I speak to with my feelings, in their eyes my body is crushed
With dripping wet skin like the ink on the page I write these words
Like the wind that I feel and the sun that burns this is a curse
These enormous black wings
These enormous black wings...
