These Hands

It was these hands,
That once touched beauty’s face,
Sculptured it with such love,
With such style and grace,

It was these hands,
That once created such art,
Touched a beating heart,
Touched the soul of a lover,
Looked underneath,
To see what they had to discover,

And it is these hands,
That I now present before you,
That hands of a man whose heart is true,
Who is wiser than the years,
A man who has been through,
The pain, toil and tears,

A man whose feelings about you,
Will always remain,
And a man whose hands,
Are still the same,
