These moments

                            These moments
I wake up in the dawn of everyday 
I look for the courage and the words to say
Some days are a struggle and a fight
Some days I can’t begin to get it right
It gets so hard and I feel I cannot win 
The day ends and I look for another to begin
Then there’s these moments 
These moments where I feel less absent
The smallest twinkle and glimmer of hope 
Even when my back is against the rope 
These moments that come,make me smile
Even though only once in a while
These moments I know my life has worth
These moments make me feel I belong on earth
It’s in these moments I find peace and joy 
It’s in these moments I need no ploy
These simple moments are all that matter 
These simple moments that make me not shatter
These simple moments that give me power
These simple moments so brief, a second, a minute, a lifetime or just an hour 
These simple moments for which I’m here 
These simple moments I no longer live in fear 
So thank you to everyone who still stands by me 
Please know that I see 
I see the smallest second that you take 
To let me know you’re true, honest,not fake 
You know who you are and I need not say 
But without a word I thank you everyday
