These Virtual Worlds...

Inspired By Jean Baudrillard

These Virtual Worlds...

These virtual worlds
create irrational fears.
Paranoia breeds.
Leech-like, it sucks the light
from one's soul. There
is too much chaos, and too
much confusion, for
routinised psyches to bear.
Limitless options;
Forced extroversion of
interior lives:
No anchorage, no halo
of privacy now
surrounds and protects us.
Often times, we need
to withdraw from this maelstrom
of images and
information. If we switch
of our screens, and go
for a walk or meditate,
we just might find peace
and some stability. We'll
be set free, until
we search for new illusions.
