They came before

They came before

Men have come from the beginning, as they will till the end . They have waged war under our very sun , as they loved another after hours with the moon 
They pick emotions like cotton , wear them gallantly like a prize 
Tho they don't belong , they keep
Tho they don't concur , they dim

They fight a war most can't see , not with the world but with themselves. Bombs and the fires are useless , for words spark more fright then a bullet wrecks
