THEY DON'T KNOW

Birds don't know what's happening below
Flying about in rain, wind or snowĀ
Finding a place to settle is their taskĀ
No virus worries no wearing a maskĀ

Dogs don't know as they go for a strollĀ
Death with this virus is taking a tollĀ
Finding a bone is top of their listĀ
Craving affection wants to be kissedĀ

Cats don't know a virus is taking place
Affecting the world and the human raceĀ
Looking for mischief and cuddles too
No lockdown for them that's so trueĀ

So if you were a dog, a cat or a birdĀ
The thought of a virus to them is absurdĀ
They go about their day as they did before
Grateful for it all I'm positively sure

I thought for a moment that you wrote
'brits' instead of birds in the first line!!
