Poem -

They'll Call Me a Blasphemer

I've had the gift

a glimpse of god, a touch of truth
too harsh to bear, a light too clear
then crawled back to what i was
picked up my tiny cross
begged his help to bear the loss

i saw the idol tall and stong
the golden path i walked along
I heard the siren song
and then the voice that called away...

I in terror knelt to pray

God in his kindness left me here
to follow blind as best i can
the light shone by the son of Man
