Thing

Thing

What am I? I am a thing. Something you wouldn’t give the light of day to look at.

Something that is so bad you can’t seem to look away.

I felt alone. Sad.

Trying to ignore the hate.

But wait. There is one person. Someone who sees this person for who they are when they are naturally themselves.

Many outweigh one.

But that one shows me reminders of who I really am.

I am no longer a thing..

I am a human.

I’m one who grows and thrives off the warmth of your body.

Finds nourishment in your kiss.

With this time I look at myself and I can finally say I was never a thing.
