Poem -
Thinking Back
When you spend a lot of time thinking back
to those care free days of youth
Are you remembering a lie, the way you think it was
Or are you remembering the entire truth.
It's hard some times to live these days
When back then everything seemed so good,
So good that you think you would give anything
To return to the old neighborhood.Â
Back to old friends, acquaintances, and loves
Back to a happier time,
Back to when a bottle of pop
Only cost a dime.
Well, I guess there's no way to really go back
Maybe these days aren't as bad as it seems,
I guess I'll just have to live this life
Only going back when I have those great dreams.

Bert! Â Love, love, love this write! Â I think about former days and enjoy remembered laughter as well as a few really embarrassing moments! Â The hurts that liars inflicted and the passions that a lover ignited. Â These memories are part of my day dreams and night dreams. Â Just have to say that I've had better days but today I am still here to enjoy these days too! Â Excellent write!
