THIRTY YEARS APART

THIRTY YEARS APART

I haven't seen you for many a year
I decided to meet you for old times and a beer
Thirty years have passed we were younger back then
It would be great to catch up with you again

Handshakes and man hugs when we met
Our friendship and younger days I will never forget
Tears in my eyes to see you change
The locals in this pub looked at me strange

Football brought us together on that December day
After thirty years apart we sure had plenty to say
