Thirty Months Without You

“Thirty Months Without You”, exactly two and one-half years;
Since that fateful Saturday morning, the culmination of all our fears!
August 5th, 2017, you took your final breath;
Leaving Mommy and Daddy devastated, eternally bereft!

For two and one-half years earlier, we lost your brother, our dear Nico;
After that, we never left your side, you went everywhere we’d go!
Because just like us, you were suffering, twelve years you’d been by his side;
Then all of a sudden, without him, so silently you cried!
.
Then the same fate befell upon us, our baby Cody’s life came to it's end;
Over fourteen years together, now all alone, we had to fend!
Our home was so very barren, without both our cherished pups;
Molten tears cascading downward, as our hearts and Souls erupt!
.
It took us eighteen months then, to get a puppy in your place;
She has brought us joy and healing, we love to her embrace!
But we often remember our boy-boys, still shed tears for all we had;
Today marks “Thirty Months Without You”, we send our love from Mom and Dad!
