Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo

Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo

Like “Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo”, the day we dropped the bomb;
August 6th, thirty weeks ago, was the first day you were gone!
We woke from Saturday’s nightmare, on that saddest Sunday morn;
To see your beddie laying empty, and face the pain that had been born!
.
Our pillows were both wettened, from the tears we cried all night;
For our precious Angel Cody, who had lost his valiant fight!
Your Sands of Time had run out, the hourglass so cruel;
Fate swooped down and in a heartbeat, stole you, our precious jewel!
.
Now exactly thirty weeks later, this Sunday, early March;
Our hearts so dry without you, our souls forever parched!
For you were the blood of our existence, the plasma of our lives;
But now, we are both anemic, with no donor to survive!
.
.
                            Thirty weeks ago
                 The blood of our hearts ran out
                        As our Soulmates time
