This heart sustains

This heart sustains, 
This one great ship, 
It will not leave you
drowning. 
It will not pass you In the night, 
Nor change its course for orders new, 
But steadfast, sweep the knots aside; 
Love finds its way to you. 
Love is its bond, each timbered beam, 
Its burning torch and beating drum, 
Each oar stroked with a thousand hopes, 
We come for you, we come! 
We shine this light to ease all fears,
All doubt you had in darkness lies, 
But from this grew a sea of tears, 
And from this blew the wind in sighs, 
And without either, neither love nor hope 
Could set its sails for thee, 
The ocean held behind those eyes, is where we long to be.
