We cover up our skin because we are cold
With alot more layers when we grow old
Such a delicate, thin fragile pelt
Oozing sensual senses as it is felt

Easily hurt if not taking great care
Covered in downy natural hair
A parchment of peel ontop of our frame
Hiding a multitude of internal needs
Organs like liver, kidney & heart
Each & everyone esentially bleeds

Think of our dermis like a jacket potato
That constantly ages & grows
Whilst one is unhealthy it is pale
But when it is in lustre it glows
Sun-burned or weather-beaten
Skin changes its colour
Depending on our habitat
Tho it is our bodies coating
Whether it is freckled, mottled or matt

Like a sheathing or shell on a fruit & a nut
So easily damaged with a running blooded cut
Look after your skin
Treat it with respect
Moisten it daily
To keep it perfect
This is your skin 
Unique only to you
It will remain on your body
