This Place

Shadow lands with shadow sands, where is this place I stand? What is that I see? Is this just another seed set into the mind of the wilted?
What is this path I see? Is this path going to set me free? It feels like sand, but my feet are cut by sickening thoughts thrown by the shattered minds around me.
This path, it feels so damp! What is this stench that carries the wetness of the damned around me?
What is that I see? A sliver of silver?
But, these hands of pain keep reaching out to me. I must reach the silver. I must break free of this dispare that pulls me. Unleash me and set me free.
What is this place I see?

Depression presents itself in many different ways Mary, you've captured it well here, associate with it and then destroy it. Great write.
