THORNY KISSES

I CLOSED MY EYES
TO KISS A ROSE,
UNAWARE OF THE THORNS
HIDDEN BEHIND ITS PETALS.

NO IMMEDIATE PAIN WERE FELT,
AS THE SPLINTERS GOT LOST
BENEATH MY INFATUATION
AND HAUNTING DESIRE
FOR HER TOUCH.

BEFORE THE SUN FADE AWAY
INTO THE CLOKE OF THE NIGHT SKY,
HER POISON HAD REACHED MY HEART
LEAVING ME PARALYZED
BY HER THORNY KISSES.

how in the world are you? I pray the entire family is doing well.
been so busy at work.. had a serious outbreak of Covid 19 on the job.. scary as heck.
but nevertheless.. God is good to me.
