Those Beasts of burden

Those Beasts of burden

Millions and trillions of horrible harvest flies.. invading my space and harassing my eyes
I swat them with my hankerchief to will their demise..These creature cretins are dreadful devils in disguise

Enjoying my beautiful, countryside rambles..amongst purple heathers and walkways with wild brambles
I cannot chillout I am bothered to bits..with beasts of burden wilting my wits
There is no escapism from my frustration I fret..as corn lice clings to my skin suckling on sweat

Ahh the bliss of Mother Nature..betwixt her bountiful, beauteous portrailure.. is immediately infested with swarming thunderbugs.. tons of tiny, tormenting thugs..Little black insects are everywhere I go.. smothering my bareskin from head to toe.. I constantly cry out” For PETE’S SAKE PLEASE GO!!!
But these blithering beasts do not listen you know.

Excellent writing skills, Jill!

I adore how you always manage to rhyme, whatever subject you have chosen to write about. Amazing!

We are covered with horse flies and stink bugs in our area.
