Those blinkin’ bullies 🥲

Those blinkin’ bullies 🥲

Samuel stood staring into space, lost in his reclusive solitude

He desperately wanted to slither down into a hidey hole, within his melancholy mood

The schoolyard was a battlefield, where the bigger boys were darn right rude

Why did he stick out from the crowd so much, this could never be good

Should he change the colour of his hair, perhaps he could dye it jet black?

He wondered would this make any difference at all ?get the blinkin’ bullies off his back!!

But he was born with a carrot red hair colour, and though his Mother always told him he was truly blessed

This sad fact stuck him out from the rest of the boys, like a sore thumb, where the bigger bullies were obsessed

Maybes he should stuff his face, though he never seemed to have any appetite, he was frightfully thin

As this was pointed out regularly, with a poking at his cheeks, like they were pricking with a pin

Eeh the poor lad was so sick of his life, he couldn’t get anything right

As a matter of fact the only time he got a bit of respite from the bullies, was in his single bed at the middle of the night

When he eventually closed his sad, weary eyes and got some poor quality of sleep

Praying that he would drift off into dreamland, delightful and deep

Then after he was woken up with that loud wake up alarm call

He had to go through the same dam dreadful rigmarole at school again, huh living his life just wasn’t fair at all…
