Those shores of Corfu

Oh how those shores of Corfu beckon me to siesta on the silky sand and swim in the salty sea
Amidst the beautiful ocean below the scorching sun this is my idea of blissful fun
Just bobbing about to the lull and sway from little pleasure boats moored up in the bay

I lie on my back with my shades on my eyes looking up at the blue cloudless skies
My face is caressed by the hot sun’s rays as I circle my arms in the oceanic sways
Three times I have travelled to this picturesque place to my favourite tavernas to memory trace
I lie on a soft comfy lilo and close my eyes listening to the seagulls cries

Sunshine always welcomes me betwixt and between blue skies and briney sea
Corfu my island of home from home
with baked beaches to ramble and roam
An easygoing everyday dipping in the sea to bathe blues away
Bronzed and glowed it revitalises
soaking up the colourful sunsets and sunrises
