Those sweet memories 💕

I can recall the pair of us sitting on that wooden bench, along the lane in the park..when we waited til’ the stars came out, long after the dark

Eeh though I bet you cannot think back to that moment when I fell into the rolling river, you put your pullover over my shoulders..coz I was starting to shiver

And as I can recollect, my hair was soaking wet..but I didn’t wanna go home and leave you, so I didn’t fret

Coz we were together just you and I, lying on that lovely meadow grass staring up at the sky

Awww what about the six weeks of the school holidays, it was 1977..Haha we spent almost every single sunny day on the beach, that was seventh heaven

Me and you building sandcastles, both of us would compete, and teehee  tho yours was by far better than mine, you would let me win..Awww you were so sweet

Oh my goodness me those days were such good fun, just a couple of school kids forever chasing the sun

After that Saturday night when we met at the local dance, and strangely enough..neither of us was looking for romance

But I guess Cupid shot his bow and arrow and aimed it at us that night, I wonder if he was watching us kissing underneath that moonlight?

Mercy me I was only nineteen and you were twenty one, when we were wed..as we are sitting here like two old souls, and I am memorising from my hazy head
