Those were the days đź’•

Those were the days đź’•

Aww how I can remember playing on the streets

Bouncing balls from kerb to kerb singing to the beats

Making old bogies from pramettes in the summer heats

Riding over crossroads with our bicycles where the junction meets

Those were the days my friend..didn’t we have fun!!

Out in the darkness each and every night after school chasing the sun

Wheelbarrowing refuge door to door when old Guy Fawkes had begun

Making snowmen on the streets after the winter wrath was won..

Eeh tho isn’t it such a pity nowadays that children do not play

In those streets outside their garden gates, where the tarmac roads lay

But our old folks chased us out the houses, so we weren’t in the way

We would lark around in those streets be it rain or shine..come what may…
