thoughts about trust

I think I should trust more than I do.
But there again
in this world doesn't everyone
have an agenda.
but it would be nice to trust people.
my mom used to say
look them in eye and tell the truth.
my grandmother was wiser than mom
but then look how old she was.
she told me
there are two kinds of people
who cant look you in the eye.
One who is trying to hide the truth.
And
one who is trying to hide their love for you.  
Its wise
but I am not sure it helps
with the trust thing.
