Through a child's eyes

My daughter thinks that I have powers 
Creating magic and play for hours
She looks at me with her bright blue eyes
Her face lights  up with surprise 

Daddy is my superhero name
When I put on a suit 
Or join in a game 
 
I do a silly dance which makes her smile
“Do it again daddy”
“Just for a while”
I do get tired
But I don't retreat
Super heroes do not sleep

I make  her toys come to life 
With a click of my fingers
and a change in my voice

I disappear before her eyes
Peeka boo 
I'm here
Surprise

I bring her food in on a plane
Or maybe today it's the Choo Choo train.
Which one it is ,she doesn't care
As long as her super hero is always there

I want to be your  hero 
forever more
If  you trip 
 I'll break your fall

When you are scared 
I'll save the day
And when you are lost
I'll light the way
Super dad  is here to stay

I hope I will always live up to her expectations
