‘Thunder in the distance’ ?

‘Thunder in the distance’ ?

As I stand in the shower with my shampoo in the buff
Goodness sakes that is thunder again
every day has been the same
I’ve had more than enough
It’s given me headache’s what a shame
I’m sick & tired of the stuff

I went out on my stroll all alone today
the sun was a’blazing in the sky
I started jotting my ditty like I do on a walk
when I heard a distant rumble nearby

Well I looked up ahead then the heaven’s opened
torrential rain pelted down
Tho I searched for some shelter
there was none to be had
as the road ran like a river all brown

In seconds I was saturated,
soaked to the skin
by now I changed my pace to a jog
The dam rain didn’t ease, as I plodged up to my knees
panting through the puddles like a dog

Moral of this ditty should be perfectly clear
Whatever the weather be prepared
Don’t dander on your lonesome
If there’s thunder in the distance
Coz when the lightening strikes you will be scared
