Thwarted Ambition

Admittingly what he knew about love

could only fill a prescription bottle

The mesmirizing ghost of the Oracle of the Delphi

hovered like a waywayrd halo

about the structured desolation of his isolated room

ADMITTTINGLY WHAT HE KNEW ABOUT LOVE

Ā COULD ONLY FILL AĀ  PRESCRIPTION BOTTLR

The memmirsing ghost of the Oracle of the Delphi

hovered like a wayward halo

about the structurcuted desolation of his entropic room

Never knoing the comfort of another

left him feeling more of an acute loss of Identity

than an immobile block of blank-faced marble

without the sumptious benefit

of a sculptor's hammer & chiself

Faced with the blank-facedĀ  wall of resignation

that greets the firing squad

he couldn't help himself-

from feeling the pathetic plight of the born loser

whose endless sigh of esasperatingĀ  futility

expresses so completely

of just how difficult it is

,to accpet a Dream's

inflexible borders and boundaries

Leaving him no choice-

,but to tuirn to the fragile complexity

and natural eavedroppping device of a web

He chose as his confessor

an empty room of trapped forms & startled mouths
