Clocks

Clocks

Release me from such dark dismay
Undrown me from my sorrows.
For time I've wasted
night and day
Was surely mine?
Not borrowed?

The clocks, they froze
each hand stood still
It was their way of duty.
For time was mine
No minutes passed
It gave to me no Scrutiny.

So now I gaze in mirrored glass
astounded with such findings.
The fickle clocks
gave brutal blow
the consequence so binding.

Release me from such dark dismay
For I have seen my falter.
In days to come
I'll live to strive
for time
It will not alter.
