Ticking Clocks----- Inspired by windmills of your Mind

Now you’re gone and it is over
Doesn’t anybody care?
Did they notice the leaves were
turning to the color of her hair?

When the sunlight pours down so brightly
|is it the time your eyes go blind?
Or within the nighttime shadows.
The faded memories rewind.
from the darkest corners
of the caverns of your mind.

How did time go past so swiftly?
Was I walking on the sand?
Coins that jingle in my pocket.
Thoughts that jangle in my hand.

The earth is now a spaceship
flying round and round the moon.
And her face is fading from me
like a half forgotten tune.

In a  watch the parts are ticking
passing by the precious years
In my head the noises clicking
Are all rivers made of tears?

Will yesterday become tomorrow
Like a never ending rhyme.
Or will silence only follow
In the shadows of my mind.
